As we prepare for the excitement of fall and the coming holiday season, I wanted to take a moment to brief you on the phenomenal performance of our summer ad campaign in Times Square, New York City. Working collaboratively with brokers and agents from across our unparalleled global network we were able to feature #onlysothebysrealty at the heart of one of the busiest tourist hubs in the world.
 
Over the past two months, the Sotheby’s International Realty brand and our exceptional homes have been prominently placed on two large Times Square screens that broadcast to over 1.5 million people that pass by every day. That is over 60 million people within this two-month period, and many more by the agents and teams who have shared this video campaign with their spheres.

This important piece of the Only Sotheby’s International Realty campaign not only offered exposure on a global stage, but also allowed us the opportunity to closely test and evaluate a new media platform for our brand level campaigns.  The Only Sotheby’s International Realty campaign is performing far beyond our expectations and delivering record audiences to sothebysrealty.com.


The Video Instants series will continue through the rest of the year with a new video made available every two weeks.  As part of the original ad campaign launched in January 2019, each video is promoted across the Wall Street Journal websites as well as our brand network channels.

New York City is a global commerce hub and has been the #1 referral market in the Sotheby’s International Realty network for many years. In the past five years alone, more than US $630 Million in referrals were placed from New York City - to markets as diverse as New Zealand, Italy, and Japan, and across the US from Seattle to Miami.
 
These same extraordinary locales and homes have been seen by over 1.5 Million people every day as they passed by our custom Video Instants series that played on two large screens on the northeast corner of 42nd Street and 7th Avenue.

About the Times Square Campaign
 
A series of Video Instants, made popular by the brand campaign on the Wall Street Journal and our affiliate and agent social media channels, will play on two large screens on the northeast corner of 42nd street and 7th avenue. The screens total 1,914 sq. ft. of viewing area, measuring 53’ H x 20’ W (vertical screen) and 22’ H x 34’ W (horizontal screen). The ads will play twice per hour, 21 hours per day, in an area where an estimated 1.5 Million people pass by every day. The campaign will run between August 1 and September 30, 2019.
